Activities of the Department

The State Department of Agriculture provides a stipend of Rs. 700/- & Rs. 900/- per student for undergoing undergraduate and postgraduate programme respectively along with book grants, reimbursements, thesis grant etc. under the State Plan of Education & Training. This support has benefitted 237 students studying both within and outside the State during 2016-17.

The Agricultural Economics and Statistics deals with Statistical matters relating to Agricultural activities in the department in order to provide/feedback information in formulating Agricultural development plans and programme etc. for which realistic estimates are necessary, basing on the facts and figures collected at the field level.
